BREEZING THROUGH AIRPORT SECURITY: How to Avoid Hassle During Airport Security Check

Image
Sure traveling is fun but before you reach your destination there are yields and pit stops that you have to experience especially at the airport. Going at the airport may not seem to be convenient for other travelers, long lines at the check-in counters; immigration check; passport control and, of course, the security check. What I hate about traveling abroad is that you have to pass a lot of security inspection especially at the airports. I know I should not be complaining about this as this is a standard operating procedure and it is about my safety as a traveler, but going for more than three checks is quite annoying.  There are airports that implement a tight security, especially nowadays that terrorist attacks are everywhere. When I was at Istanbul airport I have to pass three inspections before I boarded the plane, good thing I was early otherwise there is a chance that I can miss my flight, just imagine how busy the airport there. As a traveler, I want to make su

FLAT PACKING vs ROLLING: How to Save More Space When Traveling

Watch this video on The Scene . A lot of us face problems when we try to pack our things when going on vacation, as much as possible we want to bring a lot of stuff to maximize the space on our luggage. Sometimes our luggage is not enough to fit all our things when packing up for a holiday. So what is really the best way to save space on your luggage when traveling? I have read a lot of travel tips when it comes to packing your things and how to organize your clothes on your bags, there are ways on how to arrange your things in a convenient way.  Flat packing will make your clothes look neat and crumple-free while rolling maybe a space saver, expect your clothes to be wrinkled when you unroll them. Based on experience I tried rolling and folding my clothes and I guess both techniques saves space. It is just a matter of how you arrange your things to fit in your bags. To see which method is useful for you, check out the video above. video courtesy of

TOUR EIFFEL

Image
For some people, it maybe just a simple structure; a piece of steel; an architectural art, as for France, it is a symbol of power, glory, and prestige! People who have visited Paris may have different interpretations on how they see the Eiffel Tower, for me, it is not just a  tower nor a landmark, but a symbol of my dreams coming into reality.  Paris has been a dream destination for me and seeing the Eiffel Tower is always something I look forward of doing. I never thought that someday I will find myself in this city of love! My dreams and determination have brought my feet to this lovely city and I didn't let this dream to be a dream forever, I made it into reality! The first time I saw the Eiffel, I was stunned by its beauty.  I couldn't help but stare in awe, and I couldn't describe exactly what I feel, I think it's love, oh yes it was love at first sight! On my third day in Paris, I was scheduled to climb the tower, my Euro trip will not be

PARIS ON MY MIND: The Louvre, The River Seine and the First Glimpse of the Eiffel Tower

Image
It was first Sunday of the month, and in Paris, most of the museums give free entrance to the public and I don't want to miss this opportunity. I woke up early making it sure that I will be arriving at the Louvre on time. I am anticipating a long queue since it is a free entrance and I was right. As  soon as I got out of the station, the line going inside is already long, but the good thing, it is moving very fast so I got inside the museum in less than an hour. I really don't like going to the museums because they bore me to death and I feel sleepy whenever I am inside, but this one is exceptional, aside from the fact that it is a must- see attraction in Paris, the Louvre museum is one of a kind museum in the world. Being the largest in the world, Louvre holds the most number of collections, from ancient artefacts to paintings, sculptures, jewellery and a collection of Western arts dating from 1800's. It has eight curatorial departments which include painti

PARIS ON MY MIND

It was a dream come true for me that finally I was able to visit this beautiful city! Paris has always been a dream place for me, I guess not only for me but for everybody.  My European tour will not be complete without including this place in my itinerary. It is a must visit place for me, and one of the places I have to see before I die. Paris is not just one of those places in the world where it doesn't matter how many times you visit, but as a first timer, to me it matters most! I have been dreaming about this place for long and you just can't imagine how happy I was when I am finally there. The overwhelming experience is indescribable and as soon as I get out of the train my heart almost fell on the ground because of excitement, either I conquer Paris of Paris conquers me! Paris' unwavering romantic vibe never seems to wear off from the buildings to the culture,  to the monuments, of course, the Eiffel Tower, Paris will always have a special pl

POEMS FROM SANTORINI

Image
I am not really a poetic guy, in fact I don't even know how to write poems. But since this island is so romantic, it gave me a lot of inspirations to write my own poems. The island of Santorini has captivated not only my heart but my soul as well and inspired me to write these poems. These poems are all about the things that best describe the island. SUNSET OF OIA you climbed so high to spread a light ruled the day with your shiny rays above the clouds you give a hope to people who have lost a faith the shiny rays that ruled the day goes down so fast to end the day as people flock to watch you bow you slowly hide behind the waves WAVES ever wonder why I walk the shore alone? for in my own I see you home remember when you said goodbye you wave your hand and turned your back I sat alone at the end of the shore hoping the waves would bring you home I know the waves won't stop you leave but

Ein Prosit, ein Prosit der Gemütlichkeit Ein Prosit, ein Prosit der Gemütlichkeit! I finally got to attend the famous beer festival in the world, the Oktoberfest which only takes place in Munich Germany. It is a three long week of celebration where people drink from morning till evening. It is my first time to attend a big event like this so the excitement in me is overflowing, I know that this is gonna be fun so I was really looking forward to this. I am not really a beer drinker but my alcohol tolerance is quite high so I guess it will be put into test this time.  We arrived in Munich on the first week of the festival, as soon as we arrived there, without any rest, we immediately went to the Oktoberfest. We didn't mind the long travel, all we want is to be there on our first day in Germany. It seems that our bodies are longing for a drink, after all we came from a country where alcohol is strictly prohibited, so it
