Travel Essentials: Basic things you want to bring when travelling

What do you usually bring when you are traveling? What's inside your luggage when you go on a holiday? Aside from clothes, of course, there are some things that you don't wanna miss in your luggage when you go on a trip. I made my own list of things that I will bring when I go traveling, but of course, these things will depend on the place you are going to visit and what kind of activity you will do while on vacation.

First on my list is my cell phone. I guess this is the most important (aside from money) thing that you shouldn't forget because aside from being a basic necessity, you can call your family or friends to give them update if you have reached your destination safely. Since phones now have applications, you can use your phone to connect to the internet and locate places through GPS in case you are lost or having difficulty in finding places.

Since I love music, 2nd on my list is a pair of earphones, wouldn't be nice if you are traveling on a far place you can keep yourself relaxed by listening to your favorite songs? You can use your phone to store mp3 and create your playlist and play them while walking, or while on a long line or while traveling to a long distance. 

Since most of the time you are outside for some sight-seeing, it is advisable to bring a spare battery for your phone in case your battery will run out. At least you won't find any trouble looking for the socket to charge your phone. Having a separate battery is important specially if you are in a remote place and you need to use your phone for emergency purposes.

Next on my list is a good pair of shoes, either a rubber shoes or sneakers or any kind of shoes depending on your style, but for me, I would recommend sneakers. It is important to wear comfortable shoes when traveling because you are not just staying in one place specially when you do sight-seeing. Once your feet gets tired, it will ruin your activity and you can no longer visit other places that are on your itinerary.

If you go on a day trip, don't forget to bring a pair of sunglasses and cap to protect you from the heat of the sun. Sometimes on some places, the sun shines very brightly and could hurt your eyes.

Sometimes while on a trip, you will pass by on a boutique or souvenir shops and buy some items, it is also essential to bring a small backpack or a sling bag where you can put small items. Choose a bag that is convenient to bring where you can put your passport, wallet, phone, camera and other things.

Your vacation will not be complete if you will not take pictures of the places you are going to visit. Capture every moment while you are on a holiday and you will never know when you are going to visit that place again. It is important to have a good camera whether an SLR or a simple digital camera. Never forget to bring your camera and take pictures of everything that amuse you. The pictures you take will tell the whole story of your trip to your friends and family. Aside from taking pictures, you can also document every special experience and unforgettable adventures of your trip by writing them in a journal. Keeping a travel journal will remind you of the places you visited and the things you experienced on your vacation.
