EXPLORING THE MYTH BEHIND THE CAVE: A Day At The Judas Cave

Image
Whenever there is an opportunity to explore Saudi Arabia, I don’t hesitate to do it. Aside from the fact that there are only a few places which you can visit, going to these places alone is quite hard especially if you don’t have your own car. It was an unplanned trip; I was just tagged by a friend who has a guest from Jeddah, luckily I’m not busy that day, and even if I am I would probably leave everything just to join this trip. The weather is cold, perfect to roam around; a two-hour drive to the cave is not quite boring at all especially if you have a good companion and you are not the one driving. I’ve been looking forward to visiting this place quite some time but I just couldn’t find the opportunity. There have been plans before but nothing materializes, I thought I won’t have the opportunity anymore to see this place. The Al Qarah cave or popularly known as the Judas cave is located in Hofuf, a city in Al Hasa which is a part of the Eastern Province of ...

WHY TOKYO'S RED LIGHT DISTRICT IS BETTER THAN AMSTERDAM

Image
If you are looking a total adult entertainment, sure these two cities will offer you anything that will satisfy your carnal. Though they both offer the same kind of entertainment, I do feel that Tokyo's own red light district gives the total fun you are looking for! click here for related post I stayed in Shinjuku area during my three-day trip to Tokyo. I thought I stayed too far from city center, but in the end, I thought I just made the right decision. I booked my hostel there because it is the nearest accommodation to the place I am looking for. As soon as I get out of the train station, I didn't know what to expect in this area. I even got lost while looking for my hostel because I got confused with the direction. Good thing I got a help from two teenage  Japanese whom I bumped while walking. With a little knowledge of English, it is quite hard to ask direction with the Japanese people. Luckily when I showed the address, they were able to find it through...

Having visited this city twice, it is impossible not to fall in love with this magical city! Lies between two continents, where east meets west, to me, Istanbul is one of the world's culturally interesting city. And going around the city doesn't necessarily requires you to spend much for you to have a pleasant time. If you plan to stay in Istanbul for a day or two, consider finding an accommodation around Sultanahmet, it is here where most of the important landmarks are located. It is the cultural area of Istanbul where historical landmarks are just walking distance from each other.  So here are some of the attractions where you can spend a day visiting them without...

MAGICAL KYOTO

Image
I always imagined myself that one day I get the chance to be transported in a different era, or in a place somewhat out of this world or a place where it could only exist in fairy tale books.  Sometimes, we see photos of places that we are not sure if they really exist, or if they were just a product of photo manipulation. We can only believe if these places are real unless we see them personally. Japan has a lot of places that would stun you and leave you speechless. Places that you won't really believe they existed.  Gifted with natural beauty, surely these places will leave you breathless. Kyoto is one of the popular destinations in Japan. It is a city of thousand temples, shrines and gardens. With more than one thousand years of history, it is the best place to enjoy nature be it in winter, spring, summer or fall. During my visit in November, Kyoto gave me the best travel  experience. The colors of autumn made Kyoto the picture perfect ...

WHY YOU SHOULD TRAVEL WHILE YOU'RE STILL YOUNG

Image
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do"- H. Jackson Brown Though I thought I should have started traveling during my late twenties, but still it was never too late for me to see the world. They said that you will never know unless you tried.  Most of us dream of traveling around the world, go to different places and search for an adventure, try new things that you haven't tried. but the question is when are you going to do these? Many of us are afraid of going out of our comfort zones, some are hesitant in taking risks, while others think that traveling is dangerous. I'm glad that while I am strong and able to do things, and have the opportunity,  of course, I took all the advantages to make my dreams come true.  While others focus on work, work, work and make more money, they don't realize what they are missing in life.  Well, we have different views in life and I a...

MEETING A GEISHA

Image
Not everybody gets the chance to meet a geisha walking on the streets of Kyoto, you can only see them when they are going to work at night or running errands in the morning.  Geisha is a job, they are female entertainers who act as hostess whose skills includes dancing, performing classical music and performing in a tea ceremony. Not all female Japanese can wear a geisha costume or not everyone can be a geisha, so there are only a few of them. Also not all parts of Japan you can see geisha, there are only a few districts or prefecture where you can find them. in this case, Kyoto is one of them. At the heart of Kyoto lies Gion. The city's famous entertainment district and center of its traditional arts. Gion is known as Kyoto's famous geisha district. As I have mentioned, not all parts of Japan you can find geisha, there were only specific locations. This area is packed with traditional houses which later on converted into tea houses.  Gion is ...

JAPAN AND EVERYTHING I LIKE: A Traveler's Observation

Image
They said that first impression last, and as for my experience, it really did last. All the things I know about Japan and all the things I read and watched were all proven and witnessed  by my own eyes. I don't really set high expectations about the places I visit, I might just get disappointed in the end, but in this case, I hope for the best and boy, no disappointments from the first day until the last day, it exceeded my expectations! As soon as I stepped out of Narita airport, I already witnessed how organized Japan is. Being an organized person, I love  how things were put in the right places.  Staying here for ten days, I will list down all the things I observed, and all the things I like about Japan. Japanese are really polite and courteous people, bow here, bow there and everywhere.  They will greet you be it on the trains, taxi, bus, convenience stores and everywhere you go. In fact, their politeness is very infectious, I still have this ...
